Julian Aalders

Julian entered the world of auctions in 1995. He is highly qualified having obtained his Masters Degree of Philosophy in Decorative Arts and Furniture from Glasgow University.

Additional Academic Achievements include:

• Certificate of Decorative Arts from Australian Academy of Decorative Arts Sydney.
  
• English Silver and Hallmarks course – Brian Eggelton Sydney.
  
• Australian Art Certificate – Christies Australia Sydney.
  
• Bachelor of Applied Science in Cultural Heritage Management.
  

Between 1997 to 2004 Julian was the Head of Decorative Arts, Fine Arts and Furniture at Cromwells Auctioneers and Valuers.
Julian held the role of Gallery and Exhibitions Manager for Dalia Stanley and has worked extensively at the leading organisations Michael Nagy, Flash Art Magazine, National Gallery of Australia and the Australian War Memorial.

Julian is the official trusted Valuers for the Australian National Maritime Museum.

Kim Fyfe
Administration Manger

Kim has a degree in Sports Studies Administration and worked as the National Liaison Officer for various Governments funded traineeship projects in Canberra and Sydney.

She has also held Administration and client services roles general and specialist dental practices.

Sarah Horvath
Auctioneers Assistant

Sarah joined Aalders Auctions House in 2008 to take up the role as assistant to Julian Aalders. Prior to this, Sarah held the role of Art Administrator in the Bay East Art Department at Bonhams and Goodman.

Katheryn Purdy
Marketing

Recently joined Aalders Auctions House in 2009. Prior to this Katheryn held the role of Category Manager for Officeworks, part of the Coles Group, for 8 years. She has also worked for the following leading retailers: OPSM, BIG W and David Jones as a Buyer.

Katheryn has completed her Advanced Sales and Marketing Diploma, Retail Certificate and Advanced Management Communications.
